World BioProtection Forum appoints New President of its India Chapter

The World BioProtection Forum is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. MJ Khan as the new President of its India Chapter.  Dr. Khan replaces Dr. Praharaju Laxminarayana, MD at A. G. BioSystems, who has come to the end of his two-year term of office.

Widely acclaimed for his transformational role in food and agriculture sector worldwide through business projects, program innovations and policy interventions, Dr. MJ Khan is the Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture, President of the International Agriculture Consulting Group and Vice Chairman of the World Agriculture Forum. He is also the Founder of Agriculture Today Group and All India Farmers Alliance, a body of 40-plus large farmers organisations. In addition to becoming President of the India Chapter, Dr Khan will have a seat on the WBF Advisory Board.

 

Dr. Minshad Ansari, Founder and Chairman of the World BioProtection Forum, said, “I am delighted that Dr. Khan has agreed to become the President of the WBF India Chapter. His vast experience in the food and agriculture sector will be of great benefit to the Forum and I am looking forward to the expertise he brings in terms of his understanding of geopolitical dynamics, the issues faced by the Indian biopesticide industry and his ability to develop workable solutions that bring about positive change.”

Dr. Ansari also expressed his thanks to Dr. Praharaju Laxminarayana, who brought considerable knowledge to the WBF during his Presidency and played a key role in the evolution of the India Chapter since its foundation in 2019.

Dr. Khan will be supported in his role by Vice-President Mr Deepak Singhal, a mechanical engineer with over 35 years of diverse industry experience. Mr Singhal is Vice President (International Business) with IPL Biologicals Limited, the world technology leader in biological agri-inputs. He also holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
